Health Care DataWorks, Inc., (HCD) today announced the appointment of healthcare technology sales veteran Michael Collett to the position of vice president of sales. In this role, Collett will be responsible for business development, strategic sales plans and consistent sales execution to ensure company growth. He joins a leadership team that continues to strategically evolve to meet the changing needs of an expanding customer base.

Collett comes to HCD with over 20 years of enterprise software sales experience in healthcare and business intelligence. He has a solid track record of working with large, complex hospital systems to build lasting customer relationships. As vice president of sales, Collett will manage all aspects of operational sales and further develop and expand the sales team.

Most recently, Collett was vice president of North American sales for Caradigm, a Microsoft – GE joint venture, where he developed the sales methodology and led a sales team that consistently achieved sales targets and maximized sales opportunities. Prior to Caradigm, Collett was director of sales for the Microsoft Health Solutions Group, where he built and executed a robust opportunity pipeline and was named top sales director for two consecutive years. In addition, Collett spent three years as regional vice president for Sentillion, Inc. (acquired by Microsoft in 2010), where he was responsible for selling identity and access management solutions to healthcare providers across the Southeast region. Collett also served as vice president of sales at HealthCast, Inc., where he spent six years organizing and implementing corporate sales and marketing activities and increased total customer base from two to more than 130 hospitals. In addition, Collett held several positions at ProxyMed.
