Airborne Media Group Receives Bridge Investment from Region 9 Economic Development District
Durango, CO (PRWEB) August 07, 2013 -- Durango, Colorado based Airborne Media Group, Inc. (AMG) announced today that it has received a major bridge investment from Region 9 Economic Development District of Southwest Colorado. The investment represents an expansive move by the organization in line with its continuing efforts to generate economic activity throughout Southwest Colorado.
Airborne Media Group is the creator of Audioair®, a ground breaking technology that permits the users of mobile devices to selectively listen to digital screens which are muted for noise considerations and establishes a highly interactive mobile communications platform. The company is using bridge financing to operate and expand its customer base in a number of different markets while at the same time engaging in negotiations for a major institutional round of financing. The company currently employs seven full time people in their Durango office along with six subcontracted personnel.
Cordell Brown, AMG Chairman and CEO commented on the investment saying, “This action taken by Region 9 is yet another example of how this organization steps up and provides capital to companies at critical points in their development. More broadly, it is another example of the kind of overall support we have received from the Durango area to first seed fund our company, yield critical human resources and then provide us with our first customers.”
Brown added, “We have received coaching and encouragement from Region 9 for months now and their nomination of AMG for Colorado Companies to Watch for 2013 was among four additional nominations we received across the State. We received this recognition in only our second year of operations.”
Ed Morlan, Executive Director of Region 9 also commented on the investment saying, “I’m proud of our long term effort helping second stage companies like Airborne. This company exhibits the traits we are looking for as both a creator of innovation and a creator of higher than average wage jobs which diversify the region’s economy.”
Morlan further commented, “We are seeing a real pattern developing in our region where experienced entrepreneurs and highly skilled workers who have moved here for the quality of life tend to do what they have done in the past—start innovative businesses, create jobs and other favorable economic impacts.”
Airborne has test piloted its products and services in eight states and fourteen different metropolitan areas in such markets as sports bars and restaurants, casinos, health clubs, and college campuses. It plans to expand its product offerings to stadium complexes, shopping malls and airports as well as other locations worldwide.
