Consolidated Services Group Charity Golf Outing Raises $37 Thousand for Make-A-Wish®
Lansdale, PA (PRWEB) August 06, 2013 -- On Monday, July 22, 2013, Consolidated Services Group, Inc. (CSG) hosted its Seventh Annual Charity Golf Outing at Cedarbrook Country Club in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. The event raised over $37 thousand for Make-A-Wish® New Jersey, Philadelphia and Susquehanna Valley.
CSG sponsors this event to support Make-A-Wish® while expressing appreciation to customers and colleagues. Over 100 golfers representing over 65 companies attended the outing, served as sponsors or donated auction items to support the event. The outing began with a shotgun start at noon and featured a silent auction, raffle prizes, a 50/50 and various skill and winning team prizes. Professional golfer Jay Sigel delighted guests with expert putting tips prior to the event and was presented with an honorary award for his participation. Former Eagles quarterback A.J. Feeley also attended.
Michael A. Morrone, founder and president of Consolidated Services Group, said, “Once again, our customers, business partners and employees amazed me with their generosity and dedication. Despite rescheduling our event due to inclement weather, we enjoyed full participation and enthusiastic support for this important cause.”
Since 1980, Make-A-Wish® has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors and entire communities.
“Make-A-Wish is truly grateful to Consolidated Services Group for their generous commitment and compassion, not only to Make-A-Wish but the community we live in. Their employees and customers go above and beyond to help raise funds for Make-A-Wish each year and we are grateful for their dedication to helping children less fortunate,” said Dennis Heron, president and CEO of the Make-A-Wish® Philadelphia and Susquehanna Valley.
The golf outing has generated over $180 thousand for charitable causes since it began in 2007.
