CyraCom International, Inc. Sponsors Tucson Meet Yourself
Tucson, AZ (PRWEB) August 06, 2013 -- CyraCom International, Inc., a Tucson-based language service provider, will be a major sponsor of the 2013 Tucson Meet Yourself, a three-day folklore festival in October.

CyraCom offers Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) services in over 200 languages. Over-the-Phone Interpretation is a three-way call between an English-speaking representative, a non-English speaking customer, and an interpreter. CyraCom benefits from the diverse linguistic background that the Tucson community offers. According to the US Census, 28% of Pima County’s residents speak a language other than English at home, over 280,000 people that speak a language other than English. The Company employs over 400 people with language skills in Tucson.
"I think CyraCom has given me a great opportunity," said Carlos Sanchez, Spanish interpreter at the Tucson Call Center. "I have learned a lot out of this job, and I’m glad I can give back to people that need it. Interpreting for the Spanish-speaking community has been one way I’ve been able to support my culture."
CyraCom was founded in Tucson in 1995, and continues to be headquartered in Tucson. Over the past years, CyraCom has enjoyed success by serving customers in several industries and enabling them to better communicate with the 9% of the US population that is Limited English Proficient (LEP).

The festival has been held each year in Downtown Tucson, Arizona since 1974. TMY was founded by University of Arizona folklorist and anthropologist Dr. James "Big Jim" Griffith, who in 2011 was honored by the National Endowment for the Arts with a prestigious recognition as a "National Heritage" treasure. Tucson Meet Yourself will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2013.
