Hornblower Canada, Co., operating as Hornblower Niagara Cruises, will be the official boat tour operator of boat tours to the waterfalls of Niagara Falls beginning in 2014 in partnership with The Niagara Parks Commission, an Operational Enterprise Agency of the Canadian Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport. Providing early morning, afternoon, evening, falls illumination and fireworks boat tours to one of the world’s natural wonders, Hornblower Niagara Cruises will deliver an unforgettable visitor experience to its guests in Niagara Falls, Canada.

Hornblower Niagara Cruises (HNC) is delighted to announce the addition of Mory DiMaurizio to its management team. DiMaurizio will serve as the company’s General Manager, initially working to develop infrastructure for HNC’s brand new, multi-faceted Niagara Falls touring and entertainment facility and overseeing hiring and Human Resources.

DiMaurizio has 18 years of deep and rich experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, specializing in implementing corporate initiatives, projects, and changes; building and leading high-performance teams; fostering productive relationships among internal teams as well as with media, governments, and stakeholders; maintaining high ethical standards; and focusing on generating revenue and streamlining budgets.

In the 1990s, DiMaurizio served as part of the development operations team that opened Casino Niagara. In the 2000s, as General Manager for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, he was part of the development and operations team opening an astonishing 14 casinos in 22 months, seeing the process from pre-opening, through training and development, and finally to implementation. At the OLGC, in his final year at Woodbine Racetrack Slots, the flagship facility, he managed $580 million net—the highest-grossing gaming property in the division.

From 2005 through 2012, DiMaurizio served as General Manager of Medieval Times in Toronto, North America’s #1 Dinner Attraction. In the 110,000 square-foot entertainment complex, DiMaurizio managed every aspect of operations, including food and beverage, security, surveillance, facilities maintenance, marketing and sales, human resources, and retail. He oversaw 250 employees, including a cast of live-action performers and pure-bred Andalusian stallions.

DiMaurizio’s experience bringing entertainment facilities from conception to realization will undoubtedly prove an asset to Hornblower Niagara cruises, as it rolls out an expansive and unprecedented Niagara Falls facility, including catamaran tours, food and beverage services, park amenities, and retail.
