The most eagerly anticipated model in Kia’s history, the three-door pro_cee’d GT, is now on sale at Hendy Kia. Hampshire’s performance-minded drivers can get their hands on Kia’s first overtly sporting model from only £19,995.

Powered by Kia’s own turbocharged 1.6-litre direct-injection petrol engine, the pro_cee’d GT can accelerate from 0-60mph in 7.4 seconds and has a top speed of 143mph guaranteeing a scintillating performance, although designed not to be the most powerful in its class, but with everyday usability in mind. The sporty lines of the pro_cee’d have been embellished with performance-car additions such as dual exhausts, 18-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers and Recaro seats giving the GT a unique look that is sure to turn heads on the roads of Hampshire.

The entry level GT comes with dual exhausts, 18-inch graphite grey ground-effect alloy wheels, red brake calipers, Recaro seats finished in leather and suede, leather steering wheel and gear knob. The high level of specification carries on inside the GT with air conditioning, reversing sensors, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity as well as privacy glass.
Going up the range the ‘GT Tech’ adds extras such as a seven-inch touchscreen with satellite navigation, a reversing camera display integrated into the navigation screen, heated front seats and steering wheel, rain-sensing front wipers and an engine start/stop button from just £22,495.

As with every Kia model, Hendy Kia offers the pro_cee’d GT with a seven-year, 100,000-mile transferable warranty.

To mark Kia’s entry into the world of performance hatchbacks there is also a limited-production launch model, the ‘GT 1st Edition’ for £23,995. Just 500 examples of this car are being produced, with only 50 earmarked for the UK. The three-door pro_cee’d GT will be followed in early 2014 by a GT version of the five-door cee’d.
