Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 06, 2013
Bluefin Payment Systems and Community TechKnowledge Inc. (CTK), a nonprofit database software company and creator of nonprofit software solution, Apricot, announced today that they have entered into a partnership to make Bluefin’s payment platform, PayConex, available to their U.S. customer base.
PayConex features credit/debit/ACH processing with security features such as transparent redirection, end-to-end encryption (E2EE), and point-to-point encryption (P2PE). Merchants can accept payments through the PayConex virtual terminal, at the point of sale, online using the company’s hosted payment page, or through a mobile phone or tablet. Bluefin is partnered with over 100 software providers and serves 15,000 U.S. and Canadian merchants, including 1,200 nonprofits.
CTK, founded in 1999 by nonprofit executive director and United Way Vice President Kathryn Engelhardt-Cronk, was the first software company of its kind. Apricot cloud-based case management and outcomes reporting software was designed to fulfill technology needs unique to nonprofits, including comprehensive client and funder data collection and impact reporting. CTK supports over 14,000 agencies around the world.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Community TechKnowledge Inc.,” said Bluefin CEO John Perry. “They are a world-class organization with services that fit all types of nonprofits. Bluefin has extensive experience with the nonprofit sector, with several hundred organizations currently processing through our PayConex gateway, so this partnership is a perfect marriage of the two technologies.”
Through the partnership with Bluefin, CTK will provide customers with a suite of custom payment services integrated into Apricot. Clients and donors will be able to go online, enter their debit or credit card information, and process a payment or donation – leading to increased convenience and capacity-building for CTK’s nonprofit customers.
“CTK has always focused on increasing community impact and funding,” stated Derek Hansen, CTK’s Director of Strategic Partnerships and Community Engagement. “Nonprofits rely heavily on donations, and organizations that provide Case Management often need to process payments on subsidized services. Partnering with Bluefin will offer our customers an integrated solution to process payments within their Apricot software.”
