Dorland Health Announces Ellen Makar MSN, RN-BC, CCM, CPHIMS, CENP, Senior Policy Advisor, Office of Consumer eHealth to Address Health IT Opportunities
Rockville, MD (PRWEB) August 08, 2013 -- On August 14, 2013 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. EDT, Case In Point Webinars will present an expert faculty that will discuss the technologies, projects and resources that case managers are using to increase patient engagement and promote self-management for patients with chronic medical conditions.

The webinar faculty includes Ellen Makar MSN, RN-BC, CCM, CPHIMS, CENP, Senior Policy Advisor, Office of Consumer eHealth. In her position as Senior Policy Advisor, Ellen promotes adoption of consumer focused health information technology solutions to meet the triple aim of better health, better healthcare and lower cost. Within the Office of the National Coordinator, The Office of Consumer eHealth, (OCeH), looks to improve access, action and attitudes toward the use of Health IT with a primary focus on engaging consumers and catalyzing providers and data holders to advance that engagement.
Other faculty presenters include Catherine Princell RN MS, Manager, Outpatient Clinical Support Services for Blue Hill Memorial Hospital Peninsula Primary Care Practice and Kimberly Gully, MS, CCC, CCM, CBIST, Executive Director for Rehab Without Walls, Southern California Region.
Catherine Princell is Manager, Outpatient Clinical Support Services for Blue Hill Memorial Hospital Peninsula Primary Care practice. She supervises staff clinical competency and workflow implementation for clinical best practices. She is also a Patient Centered Medical Home and Quality Initiative team coordinator/facilitator focusing on change projects and program development.
Kimberly Gully, MS, CCC, CCM, CBIST, Executive Director for Rehab Without Walls, Southern California Region is the Executive Director for Rehab Without Walls, home and community program in the Southern California Region. Her original training is as a licensed speech-language pathologist, she currently holds licenses in California and Texas. As her career progressed she became a Certified Case Manager and a Certified Brain Injury Specialist. Her primary areas of interest are traumatic brain injury, patient advocacy, technology and case management.
