According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, temporary jobs in the U. S. have risen to 2.66 million as of April 2013 and account for about 19 percent of all new jobs filled. Staffing Industry Analysts also predict staffing industry revenue to increase six percent annually for the next two years, increasing to $139.4 billion in 2014. Staffing firms are becoming an integral part of business hiring processes nationwide as more and more companies look to add temporary or contract workers to their payrolls.
Last year, according to SIA, “104 firms generated more than $100 million in U.S. staffing revenue. These firms generated a combined $66.9 billion in U.S. staffing revenue, which represents 54 percent of the total market.”
