National Press Club to Host Press Conference on 2013 WEDI Report
Reston, VA (PRWEB) August 07, 2013 -- WEDI, the leading authority on the use of Health IT to improve the exchange of healthcare information, announced today that a National Press Club “Newsmakers” Press Conference covering the completed 2013 WEDI Report will be held on December 5, 2013 at 10:00AM ET. The National Press Club “Newsmakers” programs are one-hour news conferences run by the National Press Club for select guests such as members of Congress, key government officials, experts in policy and leaders of influential organizations.
Overseen by former Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), The Honorable Louis W. Sullivan, M.D., and an executive steering committee consisting of representatives from healthcare, corporate, and government organizations, the 2013 WEDI Report will identify the likely role of emergent technologies in the years ahead, lessons learned over the past two decades and the impact of technology and market forces on the original recommendations from the 1993 WEDI Report.
The 2013 WEDI Report Newsmakers press conference will take place at the National Press Club building, located at 529 14th Street NW in Washington, DC. The conference panel will include WEDI’s President & CEO, Dr. Devin Jopp, former HHS Secretary, The Honorable Louis W. Sullivan, M.D., WEDI Board Members, and members of the 2013 WEDI Report Executive Steering Committee.
With the WEDI Report currently in development, WEDI encourages members of the healthcare industry to join in on its creation by participating in WEDI Report workgroups.
