Eagle Hospital Physicians Receives New Funding, Builds Executive Team
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) August 07, 2013 -- Eagle Hospital Physicians L.L.C. announced today investment and credit arrangements designed to propel its growth under the direction of a seasoned executive team. In addition to new equity and a revolving line of credit, the company also put in place a $20 million loan facility for strategic growth through acquisitions.
The company named an executive team that includes Edward R. Casas M.D., MM, MPH, as executive chair, Peter Harris as chief executive officer and Talbot “Mac” McCormick M.D. as president and chief operating officer. The funding and executive appointments are effective immediately in connection with the transfer of assets to a new growth-oriented company now operating as Eagle Hospital Physicians.
“Our capital structure and executive appointments are accelerating Eagle’s strategy to provide hospitalist services in alignment with the needs of our hospital customers, while making sure patients come first,” said Harris. Harris has served in multiple executive roles during a successful career in health care services spanning 20 years.
Dr. McCormick, who has worked in hospitalist medicine for more than 20 years, described the company’s executive team as “passionate individuals—medical and business leaders—who share one mission: Ensuring that Eagle’s customers have access to hospitalists who deliver extraordinary care to the patients they serve.” Dr. McCormick oversees day-to-day operations, hospital and physician relationships, telemedicine and practice analytics.
Other physician executives of Eagle include David Gates, M.D., chief medical officer, and John Johnston, M.D., senior vice president of practice development. Additional biographical information regarding the company’s executives is available online at Eagle senior team.
“Eagle is well positioned to serve what is one of health care’s fastest growing segments,” said Harris. “Data show that the hospitalist market is valued north of $10 billion and growing more than 10 percent per year. We’re now built for growth and ready to serve.”
