Project Walk Announces the Opening of a Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Center in San Francisco
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 14, 2013 -- Project Walk announces it will open a new activity-based recovery center in San Francisco, California. The new location will be the third Project Walk franchised location to sign this year for SCI Business Solutions Inc., following the recent locations of Claremont and Las Vegas. The absence of activity-based recovery programs throughout the nation continues to fuel the need for innovative programs such as Project Walk.
Founded in 1999, Project Walk provides activity-based recovery programs designed around industry leading research, training, and state-of-the-art technology to increase mobility in clients who have a spinal cord injury. For over a decade, spinal cord injury victims have had to travel across the world to participate in Project Walk’s program. Through the opening of new locations and various home recovery options, individuals who suffer from a spinal cord injury are finding more options that are accessible in their community.
"We are extremely excited to bring a Project Walk Franchise to the city of San Francisco. This is one of the premier cities in the world and we look forward to offering our world class programs and training services to the local spinal cord injury community," says Carrie Heieck, Spokesperson for Project Walk.
Project Walk is the most advanced spinal cord injury recovery program in the world. Clients can begin the program as soon as they leave the hospital and can continue full-time at a center or at home through the most comprehensive integrated home care model on the market today. The Dardzinski Method®, practiced only at Project Walk, is supported by published research, some of which has shown that 71% of clients improve function below the level of injury.
"Our plan is to open the San Francisco location in spring of 2014. The bay area presents so many wonderful locations that we aim to provide the most accessible facility possible," says Heieck. Similar to other franchised locations, the San Francisco facility will have access to the newest training techniques and state-of-the-art technology based on the research conducted at Project Walk Headquarters.
The Project Walk brand continues to expand its facility options along the west coast while also providing home recovery options across the world. As the world leader in spinal cord injury recovery, Project Walk provides an improved quality of life for people with a spinal cord injury through intense activity-based recovery programs, education, training, research and development. The brand consists of a global network of franchised and licensed locations encompassing both for and nonprofit businesses. Each location is staffed with highly qualified Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Specialists who treat thousands of client hours every year from more than 30 countries and 6 continents. The Worldwide Headquarters, located in Carlsbad, CA, provides clients with a state-of-the-art 24,000 square foot facility designed to not only treat clients but to teach other professionals about The Dardzinski Method.
