BreakThrough Physical Therapy Adds New Physical Therapist to Owen Drive Location
Fayetteville, NC (PRWEB) August 08, 2013 -- BreakThrough Physical Therapy has added a physical therapist to its team at the Owen Drive location. Dr. Kyle Botten, PT, DPT, CSCS*D, joins the group with a specialty in sports physical therapy.
“I became a physical therapist because I love the challenge of helping people overcome their injuries and return back to their active lifestyles,” said Dr. Botten. “I’m looking forward to meeting with new patients and getting to know the area.”
Dr. Botten is relocating to Fayetteville from previous stints in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. A Pittsburg, PA native, Dr. Botten received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Slippery Rock University after receiving his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. During his time at Slippery Rock University he also competed on scholarship with the cross country and outdoor track and field teams.
He continued to pursue further training in sports physical therapy in a one-year American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)-accredited post-graduate residency program at Gundersen Health System (GHS). During that time he assisted with teaching in the DPT program at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, engaging in research, providing emergency response services at athletic venues, and gaining valuable experience in providing excellent clinical care to the athletic population. Dr. Botten will be sitting for the APTA sports specialty board certification (SCS) exam in March of 2014.
Clinic Director Dr. Alex Koszalinski, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT is looking forward to having Dr. Botten join the Fayetteville team, “We are excited to have Kyle join our team. His clinical expertise and advanced training in sports medicine will be instrumental in developing new programs to serve the community.”
