“My fellow Americans, The Proud American party was launched on July 4, 2013. The web address is http://www.proudamerican.net. This is a first in a series of press releases, communications, social media and feature films to announce our policies. What issues are of primary importance to the American people? They are Economy, Education, Elderly, Employment, Energy, Environment, Immigration, Infrastructure, Security and to minimize the stupidity of Government. These are the six E’s, two I’s and two S’s,” according to Krishnan Suthanthiran, the president and founder of the Proud American Party (PAP). “Issues such as religion, gay rights, contraception, and abortion, are beyond the scope of the party's agenda and have no place in a political platform. Our goal is to promote the issues that unite us, and not focus on the issues that divide us.”

The Proud American Party will not launch a candidate for elective office at least until 2016. All candidates will have to agree to no consecutive terms and not run for elective office if, when their term begins, they would be 72 years of age or more. Also, candidates will not accept contributions from corporations or businesses, PACS, or Super PACS including non US citizens or those who collaborate with them. All contributions must be from individuals and cannot exceed $500.00 per person, per year, per candidate. Only US Citizens older than 18 can become a member and immigrants (Permanent Residents) older than 18 can be associate members and can become a member upon becoming a US Citizen.

In addition, The Proud American Party will limit campaign spending to $2 million for House of Representative elections, $5 million for Senatorial campaigns, and $100 million for the Presidential campaign. Also, the PAP intends to amend the constitution to make the congressional election to be every 4 years, instead of 2 years. The party will limit campaign spending for Governor's elections to $10 million per candidate. The party itself, cannot spend more than $100 million in any given year. The annual party membership fees are $100.00 per year per member, and $50.00 per year per associate member.

“My goal is to present a plan to revive American economic and military strength and make this decade and the century a truly American century. My fellow Americans, please join me in moving our country forward and untangle it from the gridlock crafted by the Democrats and the Republicans. The days of constant bickering and dysfunctional governing practices need to be over.” stated Mr. Suthanthiran.

Mr. Suthanthiran continues, “As Americans, we are all proud to be Americans, and want to restore American pride by creating a functional government, focused on the future of our great country, for the 21st Century and beyond. A strong and prosperous America is the pillar of global peace and prosperity.”

Please join our Proud American Party, be courteous, kind and caring to all fellow citizens of the world. – Krishnan Suthanthiran
