Private Detective Leicester Comment on the Importance of the Police Restorative Justice Scheme in Light of Sky News Report: Prisoner Offered Job by Company He Burgled
(PRWEB UK) 7 August 2013 -- According to the Sky News report by David Crabtree dated 7 August 2013, Managing Director, Charles Moyle has offered a job to the man who burgled his business in 2006. Mr Moyle has given the unidentified offender a second chance under the restorative justice scheme run by West Mercia Police. The prisoner told his new boss: “I know I have to earn your trust and I know there will be a lot of people who think you are mad for taking a risk on me, but I will prove them wrong.”
The Sky News report goes on to say that after meeting the burglar in prison Mr Moyle felt he had an obligation to give someone a chance and an opportunity.
Mr Moyle said: "It is a risk I know, but it is a better way than him reoffending. He feels nobody cares. It's worth a chance, it's worth a try.”
The scheme is about bringing the offender together with the victim of the crime so the victim can understand why the crime was committed and how the offender feels about that.
Private Detective Leicester is very supportive of the important scheme and can see that the aim of the scheme is to stop reoffending.
Spokesperson from Private Detective Leicester, Mehmet Khan said:
“Giving offenders a second chance is worthwhile, not only for the offender but also for society. We deal with a lot of other crime prevention methods such as CCTV and burglar alarms but the best security must be to help prevent offenders from reoffending”.
Detectives from Private Detectives Leicester offer crime prevention methods and devices such as burglar alarms, CCTV information and installation and useful common sense ideas that can keep homes and business secure. One ingenious cost effective and popular security tip is to plant thorny and prickly plants against the fences and walls of a property which can act as a natural deterrent to burglars. These defences can also provide evidence to the police as the vicious spikes can draw blood and rip clothing.
