Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) August 08, 2013 -- Once just another Seattle-based organic band, Pearl Jam has gone from grunge to glam in just two short decades.
Now considered pioneers of the early-1990s punk rock movement, Pearl Jam jumped into the mainstream with their debut album, Ten, in 1991. And, although the Grammy Award-winning group has been somewhat sedate as of late, they just released more tickets to their upcoming tour.
Scheduled in support of their upcoming album, dubbed Lightning Bolt, the band’s 24-date North American trek strikes first at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh on Friday night October 11, 2013.
It then hits the First Niagara Center in Buffalo on the 12th, DCU Center in Worchester on the 15th and 16th, Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn on the 18th and 19th, and Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia on the 21st and 22nd.
Next on the slate are the XL Center in Hartford on the 25th, Baltimore Arena in Baltimore on the 27th, John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville on the 29th, Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte on the 30th, American Airlines Arena in Dallas on November 15, and Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City on the 16th.
After that, Pearl Jam performs at the Jobbing.com Arena in Phoenix on November 19th, Viejas Arena in San Diego on the 21st, Sports Arena in Los Angeles on the 23rd and 24th, Oracle Arena in Oakland on the 26th, Rose Garden Arena in Portland on the 29th, and Spokane Arena in Spokane on the 30th.
The tour then treks to the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary on December 2, Rogers Arena in Vancouver on the 4th, and Key Arena in Seattle for a wrap on December 6, 2013.

Since its inception, the band's line-up has included Eddie Vedder (vocals), Stone Gossard (guitar), Jeff Ament (bass), and Mike McCready (guitar). The band's fifth drummer, Matt Cameron, has been onboard since 1998.
Over the years, Pearl Jam has outlasted and outsold many of its contemporaries in the punk, grunge and alternative rock era, and is now considered one of the most influential bands of the decade. Music critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine of Allmusic calls the group "the most popular American rock & roll band of the 1990s”. To date, the band has sold over 31.5 million records in the U.S, and an estimated 60 million worldwide. (Source: wikipedia.org)
Pearl Jam just wrapped an epic sold out show at Wrigley Field several weeks ago, led by famed front man Eddie Vedder. The band debuted new material, including “Mind Your Manners” and “Lightning Bolt” off of their upcoming album, Lightning Bolt, due out in October. The gig was the fastest-to-sell-out concert in that venerable stadium’s history.
The group’s most popular songs include “Elderly Woman”, Alive”, “Given To Fly”, “Better Man”, “State of Love and Trust”, “Even Flow”, “Rearviewmirror”, “Jeremy”, “Yellow Ledbetter”, “Just Breathe”, “Last Kiss” and “Black”.
