Julie Miller Celebrates her 13th Anniversary with Patrick T. Sheehan & Associates
(PRWEB) August 09, 2013 -- Starting her career at the firm on July 31st of 2000, Julie A. Miller joined Patrick T. Sheehan & Associates as a receptionist. At that time the firm employed two tax attorneys and one general practice attorney. From the time Julie began, Sheehan & Associates has seen tremendous growth and is now the largest tax law firm in DuPage County. Sheehan & Associates is currently comprised of six key staff members and one outside paralegal and just as the company has grown, so has Julie.
Now the office manager and a paralegal, Julie manages all aspects of the company, from negotiating contracts, preparing budgets and supervising staff to preparing financial statements and working with clients.
Julie is not only dedicated to her career at Patrick T. Sheehan & Associates but is also a philanthropist in her community. She has been a member of the Elmhurst Jaycees since 2000 including chairing the Distinguished Service Award banquet 2001 through 2012. She has also been an elected member of the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors since 2007. She currently holds the 1st Vice Chair position of the Executive Board of Directors, chairing the Marketing Committee, and plans to accept the nomination for Chairman of the Board in November. The Chamber of Commerce also recognized her with their Good Works Award at the golf outing in 2010.
Julie has many great things to say about her career at Sheehan & Associates and notes “in the last 13 years I have learned that this job is never stagnant. I enjoy that I still learn something new every day and the leadership that Patrick Sheehan has taught me has made me a better individual and stronger businesswoman. I am happy to be a vital part of this company and an engaging member in the community.” In addition to her outstanding work at the firm and dedication to her community, Julie has been an active member at the Downers Grove Park District Women’s A Volleyball League since 2005 and the Villa Park Women’s A Volleyball League since 2007. Volleyball is not a new interest for Julie. Since playing for Elmhurst College in her college years, she continues to play competitively and support ECVB as a Bluejay Backer since 2000.
