Audiovisual News Angel to Transform Traditional Newspapers into SmartNewspapers
Mountain View, CA (PRWEB) August 08, 2013 -- Mountain View startup, Audiovisual News Angel, Inc., is launching a fundraising campaign to finish building its 21st Century digital newsstand that transforms traditional newspapers into SmartNewspapers for people who are always on the go.
SmartNewspapers are personalized, audiovisual editions of newspapers. They read like print newspapers, on almost any Internet device with a major Internet browser, and can be heard like an audiobook, using content from voiceover artists instead of synthesized computer voices. The combination of these easy-to-use features has not been replicated by any other Internet newspaper provider, said Audiovisual News Angel’s founder and CEO, Carl Rudd. In addition, with each SmartNewspaper the reader will receive an hour of personalized news and major updates throughout the day.
"Think of SmartNewspapers as a combination of NPR meets traditional newspapers — except now the news can be heard and is personalized for each customer," Rudd said. "Consequently, consumers will soon be able to listen to personalized editions of their newspapers while driving in their car or exercising — it’s an easy way to always be in the know."
Audiovisual News Angel, Inc. has started building a working prototype, and has turned to the crowdfunding site Indiegogo to secure funds needed to finish the prototype and attract subscribers. During the Indiegogo campaign, initial subscribers can receive discounts that are over 93 percent off the daily subscription rate. Pledge levels can be viewed at Indiegogo.com. As a further thank you, every Indiegogo subscriber can have an Angel icon displayed on the front of all their SmartNewspapers for the life of their subscription, identifying them as a VIP who helped to launch the company.
