Second Annual OpenCo Festival in San Francisco Announces Initial HostCo Lineup - Organization Appoints Key Members of Executive Team
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 08, 2013 -- OpenCo, a conference-as-festival where innovative businesses open their doors to the public, today announced details for the second annual OpenCo event that will take place in San Francisco. On October 10th and 11th, host companies (HostCos) will open their doors and host hourly, citywide interactive sessions where they will share their business vision and outline their founding principles and values. For 2013, the OpenCo event series is occurring in four markets: New York, London, Detroit and San Francisco with additional cities planned for 2014.

Key Members of OpenCo Executive Team Appointed
• Greg Kerwin will take on the role of CEO for OpenCo and be in charge of strategic direction and growth of the business. Kerwin has 20 years experience developing leading global events and digital media brands, including collaborating with OpenCo founder John Battelle on the successful Web 2.0 event series. Most recently, Kerwin ran a $90 million portfolio of global business-to-business events and digital products at UBM based in Amsterdam.
• Elissa Hambrecht will take on the role of COO for OpenCo handling business operations and will serve as the main point of contact for partners, including HostCo relations. Hambrecht is an entrepreneur with 20+ years of start-up experience in addition to decades of experience in event marketing & production.
• Stacey Foreman will take on the role of Executive Producer and will continue managing all logistics to support ongoing OpenCo events globally. Foreman was a founding member of the OpenCo team and has worked closely John Battelle for more than 18 years.
