Software review site Boffin publishes its top picks list of web design utilities available to the public without any cost. These tools cover a broad spectrum of web design aspects, from file sharing to online animators and editors.

Dia is a visual UML diagram creator that lets users create a plethora of different network diagrams, flowcharts and other entity relationship diagrams. It’s an open source software compatible with Windows, MAC and Linux operating systems.

The Boffin editors also included in their list Powerbullet, a presentation utility that lets users create professional presentations through a user-friendly interface. Firefox’s Web Developer Toolbar is yet another recommendation by the Boffin team of editors. According to the latter, this toolbar is available as a Chrome and Firefox extension that lets users engage with CSS editing, cookie session clearing and other basic functions.

The Boffin editors have issued an announcement stating that the no-cost software list will be regularly reassessed to ensure the software mentioned are the most relevant and current in this category.
