It is my goal that my new book helps children struggling with reading to get better at it and get excited about it.

There is no better time than family time.
Kathleen Morrissey is a retired industrial educator who traveled around the world for work, a pastime she now deeply enjoys sharing with her family. Reflecting upon her love of outdoor adventures and the importance of safety when it comes to being somewhere new, Morrissey writes new children’s book, "Bunny Foodie Adventures."
Set in the local farm fields, "Bunny Foodie Adventures" is the story of two young bunnies who learn the dangers of going off on their own, encountering scary sounds, a surprise helper and delicious temptations along the way.
"Bunny Foodie Adventures" reminds young readers of the importance of being outside and exploring the great outdoors, as long as safety and parental guidance are involved. Lessons are learned about being safe at all times, understanding the rules before setting out on an adventure, using the buddy system, and above all, enjoy reading!
With fun characters and colorful illustrations, Morrissey’s new book encourages families to spend time together and aids in building children’s reading comprehension skills.
“It’s a story with wonderful illustrations to assist the comprehension of the adventure and suspense,” Morrissey says. “It is my goal that my new book helps children struggling with reading to get better at it and get excited about it.”
