Carneros Brewing Company Hosting Grand Opening Featuring Delicious Craft Beers in Wine Country
Sonoma, CA (PRWEB) August 08, 2013 -- Carneros Brewing Company, a microbrewery specializing in craft beers, will host its grand opening Wednesday, August 14, 2013, from 5:00pm – 8:00pm, at 22985 Burndale Road, Sonoma, CA 95476. The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony starts at 5:30pm, followed by tasty tacos paired with artisanal beers.
Carneros Brewing Company was founded by brothers Jesus, Pedro, Armando and Manuel Ceja and their families. They are Mexican-American immigrants from the states of Michoacán and Jalisco.
Jesus Ceja is the brewmaster and his life has revolved around beer since finishing his BS in Food Biochemistry from UC Davis. He worked for nearly two decades at Anheuser-Busch where he oversaw brewing operations with international brewery partners in Canada, the Caribbean and South America.
“Carneros Brewing Company’s presence in Sonoma was prompted by the interest and demand for microbrews, and our desire to provide an alternative to the many strong hoppy brews available today,” said brewmaster Jesus Ceja. “And the brewery’s location on busy Highway 12 is ideal,” he added.
“Our goal is to produce brews that are balanced and food friendly that will pair well with many styles of cuisine,” added partner Pedro Ceja.
“We’re in wine country and it takes a lot of beer to make great wine,” mused partner Armando Ceja.
Carneros Brewing Company is one of only three Latino-owned breweries in the United States out of 2,300. It produces handcrafted Jefe-Weizen, Morena Ale, Cerveza Pilsner, Carneros IPA and Negra IPA using the best ingredients and the hops grown at the brewery in Sonoma. The sprawling beer garden around the pond is great for picnics and offers lovely views of the Carneros countryside. It’s located at 22985 Burndale Road, Sonoma, CA 95476 and open daily 10:00am – 5:30pm.
