Britannia Group acquires the Carrington Hotel Bournemouth

Britannia Hotels have today announced their latest hotel acquisition, the Carrington House Hotel in Bournemouth. The 145 room hotel was purchased from Forestdale Hotels and forms part of the group’s expansion.

We're delighted to welcome the Carrington House to the chain.

Located on Knyveton Road in Bournemouth, the Carrington House Hotel is situated in a quieter area of Bournemouth, in walking distance of blue flag beaches and the Sovereign shopping centre. The hotel features conference facilities, games room, on site restaurant, bar and a heated indoor swimming pool.

A spokesperson for Britannia Hotels said “We’re delighted to welcome the Carrington House to the chain; Bournemouth is a fabulous seaside location and we expect the hotel to be a big hit with our customers".

Founded in 1976, Britannia Hotels is the largest privately hotel chain in the UK with over 8,000 rooms spanning 44 hotels across the UK. Britannia now own 5 Bournemouth hotels.

The Carrington House Hotel is the latest in a string of recent acquisitions for the chain and is part of their expansion plans. Other recent acquisitions for the Britannia group include the Waterside Hotel in Peterhead and the Britannia Edinburgh Hotel.
