Words Liive Hosts Virtual Press Conference to Announce New Innovative Tool for Common Core Language Arts Curriculum
Washington, DC (PRWEB) August 09, 2013 -- Words Liive LLC, an innovative English Language Arts curriculum augmentation company, will host a virtual press conference on Monday, August 12th to announce its latest full suite tool for Common Core English Language Arts programs in grades 8 through 12. For the past year, founder Sage Salvo has worked with and witnessed students consume, comprehend, and codify literature ranging from Shakespeare’s Mid Summer Night’s Dream to Dr. Martin Luther King’s Letter from a Birmingham Jail with the aide of his hip-hop teaching program, Words Liive. To inquire more about how hip-hop can help implement the Common Core English Language Arts requirements, reporters are invited to join the Google Hangout on Air to be included. The Google Hangout will also be streamed live.
Words Liive provides training and guidance to teachers and students in what is called experience learning. This experience learning technique provided by Words Liive is a full-sensory approach to the Common Core Literature via an analysis of the literary genius of Lil Wayne, Jay Z, Kanye West, Nas, Common, Tupac, Biggie, Andre 3000, and others. The program has been featured in high schools throughout DC. Additionally, Toronto, NYC, and Philadelphia have shown interest in implementing the program in the upcoming school year.
"Over the past year, I've seen first-hand how this program reveals unexamined genius in our students while revealing the unexamined genius of hip-hop artists. Providing a familiar portal for our students to learn through has proven to be the leaven in the loaf for getting them excited and engaged about the literature they're covering in class. I'm absolutely convinced these students can digest their lesson plans more effectively and produce awe inspiring work with Words Liive,” said Words Liive Founder Sage Salvo.
