Beauty Schools of America® (BSA) is participating in a “backpack giveaway” to help Florida’s underprivileged students. This community outreach event will help many children prepare for the upcoming school year.

“Unfortunately, many of our local grade school students start their year without some of the most basic school supplies,” said Jeff Gonzales BSA Director of Operations, “this is just a small opportunity for us to give back, to make sure these kids start the year with book bags and school supplies.”

Given the difficult economy, more and more kids start school without these supplies. This year, BSA expects to have more families attend and they will be prepared with plenty of supplies for all.

“We can’t wait! We’ll have cosmetology and makeup students on hand for hair braiding and face painting. Our goal is to keep smiles on the students’ faces and to give them a fair start to the school year. Community outreach is extremely important to BSA.”

This year’s event takes place Friday, August 9th, from 9:30am to 2:00pm, at 935 West 49th Street, Hialeah, FL 33012. All are welcome.

The Coral Springs Schools, Inc. d/b/a Beauty Schools of America® (BSA) opened its first campus in Margate, Florida in 1989. The school has successfully expanded to a total of five locations throughout South Florida, making it one of the largest cosmetology schools in Florida. All campuses are situated in vastly diverse communities, basking in the rich variety of students and residents in the area. BSA is licensed by the Commission for Independent Education (CIE)/Florida Department of Education (DOE), accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE) and has been one of five schools across the country to meet the standards of the International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC), which provides certification in over 38 countries. BSA currently offers an array of beauty and spa related programs and our curriculum continues to grow as the industry evolves.
