Superbreak Reports Strong August Bank Holiday Search Traffic
(PRWEB UK) 10 August 2013 -- Short break specialist, Superbreak, has reported an increase in demand for August Bank Holiday breaks since the start of the month. Traffic to the Superbreak.com website has seen a week on week increase of approx +35%, which reflects the shorter lead-in times that the Yorkshire based tour operator states are continuing to be an increasing trend over key Bank Holiday periods.
As predicted, some of the UK’s most popular tourist cities are proving popular with Superbreak customers during the lead up to the August Bank Holiday, including York and Chester. Edinburgh is also proving a firm favourite amongst Superbreak customers, as the Scottish capital plays hosts to the Royal Edinburgh Tattoo Festival and Fringe Festival throughout August, attracting huge crowds to the city annually.
As well as these popular historic destinations, the high temperatures seen so far this summer have driven more and more customers to coastal resorts for the August Bank Holiday. Bournemouth and Brighton destination pages are now the third and fourth most viewed on Superbreak’s site respectively, with visits to the former up 190% year-on-year
Superbreak’s wide product range offers customers plenty of choice when booking a UK short break. So far this year, the travel company’s most popular August Bank Holiday package has been the Warner Bros. Studio Tour - The Making of Harry Potter, a favourite with both adults and children alike. As always, London West End and regional theatre breaks continue to sell well, with The Lion King and Jersey Boys leading the way for 2013 theatre sales.
Increasing flexibility with Superbreak bookings has meant that customers can tailor their breaks to suit their needs, with rail travel and numerous attractions available as add-ons to any booking. Recent new additions to the Superbreak product range include cultural tours of the Scottish Highlands and the Milky Way Adventure Park in North Devon, offering customers even more ways to tailor make their own breaks.
Khalid Amin, Online Marketing Manager at Superbreak, commented: "We are increasingly seeing later booking patterns around Bank Holidays and this August Bank Holiday appears no exception with demand building each week, it’s a great opportunity for customers to get away for the final 3 day weekend of the summer”.
