Engines Roar at CAF Airpower Museum's Mustang Stampede
Midland/Odessa, Texas (PRWEB) August 12, 2013 -- Get your engines roaring! Join the CAF Airpower Museum on Sat., Aug. 24, 2013, for a day of cars, airplanes and history. Mustang Stampede and Car Show, presented by Rogers Ford, will feature the P-51 Mustang The Brat III and an array of machines for a car show unlike anything in the area. The event takes place at the CAF Airpower Museum, 9600 Wright Drive, Midland, Texas. Doors open to the general public at 11 a.m. for just $5 per person with children 5 and under free!
This year, all show cars are invited! Owners are invited to have their car judged in this unique car show. Entry fees are $30 for indoor parking in the Main Hangar and $20 for outside parking on the ramp. Car owners who do not wish to have their vehicle judged can park it in the Corral for just $10 (driver admission is included. General admission applies to passengers). Cars parked in the Corral will not be judged.
Those wishing to have their cars judged must be registered and parked in the judging area by 10 a.m. with awards presented at 2:30 p.m. Awards will be given for People’s Choice, Best of Show and the various “generations” of Mustangs.
Mustang owners will also have the opportunity to have their car photographed next to the P-51 Mustang for $30.
P-51 The Brat III will be on site and available for rides for $1995 (http://www.cavflight.org).
Lunch will be served by the CAF High Sky Wing from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $10 per plate and includes tea or water. Sodas and bottled water will be available all day for $1 by the CAF Desert Squadron.
