New Zip Line Experience at Columbus, Ohio’s Only Zip Lining Tour Being Offered to Nature, Adventure Seekers
Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) August 12, 2013 -- ZipZone Canopy Tours located at Camp Mary Orton has announced a partnership with Columbus and Franklin County Metropolitan Park District to offer a new zip lining tour that provides visitors an opportunity to experience the local environment from a new point of view.
The new Forest Discover Tour expands upon the expert-guided and hands-free zip line experience offered by ZipZone by having naturalists from Metro Parks accompany the tour and offer educational insights and discussion on what visitors see from the treetops.
“We get a lot of questions from our guests about the local environment from trees to wildlife to the geology of the area,” said Lori Pingle, owner of ZipZone Canopy Tours. “Having an expert naturalist from Metro Parks lead a tour for the adventure and nature seeker is another way our guests can enjoy zip lining with us.”
Space is limited as the Forest Discovery Tour is only being offered once a month through the end of the season (Aug. 18 at 4:30 p.m., Sept. 29 at 10 a.m., and Oct. 13 at 4:30 p.m.). The cost for the two-hour tour is $69 per person. Guests must register either online at http://www.zipzonetours.com, or by calling (614) 847-9477.
“We’re treating it like a regular hike except from the tree tops,” said Jill Snyder, naturalist at Highbanks Metro Park who will lead one of the tours. “We’ll talk about the things you see and find in the forest such as yellow-bellied sapsucker woodpeckers, turkey vultures and all kinds of insects.”
