The SBCDSA is committed to giving back to the community we serve and we make it a priority to learn of the community’s concerns and needs and to connect with members of our community.

The Santa Barbara County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association (SBCDSA) has donated nearly $7,000 to local Santa Barbara charities since January 2013. The SBCDSA represents law enforcement professionals and is an active philanthropic group in Ventura Santa Barbara County.

The SBCDSA donated $1,000 to the Santa Barbara Food Bank in January 2013. In the same month, they continued their philanthropic efforts by donating $500 to Cops Running for Charity; a non-profit organization that gives all of the donated monies it receives to local charitable organizations including Children’s Hospital, Cancer Society, and other various local organizations in Ventura County.

In April 2013, members of The SBCDSA participated in the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) golf tournament and fundraised $400 towards substance abuse prevention and education in local Santa Barbara schools. The SBCDSA is also committed to helping the Special Olympics of Santa Barbara County and donated $2,500 to their South County Chapter and $2,500 to the North County Chapter in June 2013.

“The group of dedicated and professional members of the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department and District Attorney Investigators hope to show our presence in ways more than serving and protecting the Santa Barbara County,” said Todd Johnson, secretary of the SBCDSA. “The SBCDSA is committed to giving back to the community we serve and we make it a priority to learn of the community’s concerns and needs and to connect with members of our community.”

Members of the SBCDSA continue to give back to their community not only with their service but with their philanthropic commitments. For more information about partnering with the SBCDSA or to learn more about how the SBCDSA will serve their local communities, visit sbcdsa.org.
