Demand Inspires PerformLine to Launch Compliance Monitoring Solution for Consumer Finance Marketers
Morristown, NJ (PRWEB) August 12, 2013 -- Continuing its mission to help marketers protect their brands through verifiable compliance monitoring and discovery technologies, PerformLine announced today they have launched proprietary "Rule Sets" for their PerformMatch Compliance Monitoring platform to meet the demand from marketers in consumer finance industries.
With the advent of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the introduction of updated federal regulations and increased scrutiny in the consumer finance sector, consumer finance marketers are looking to protect themselves from potential violations which could result in costly investigations, hefty fines and consumer refunds. PerformLine has stepped in to provide a critical first line of defense for marketers looking to proactively monitor their brands—easily and cost effectively —across all of their customer acquisition channels.
Applying the expertise gained from serving the education sector, where PerformMatch has found and reviewed over 17 billion compliance observations to date for clients, the company launched consumer finance monitoring in partnership with several of the largest and best known brands in mortgage, credit card and debt services.
PerformMatch™ uses Rule Sets crafted from industry regulatory guidelines to provide real-time, automated monitoring of a marketer's affiliates, aggregators and publishers for potential violations. Regulations such as the Mortgage Acts and Practices – Advertising Rule (MAP Rule) and Truth in Lending Act (TILA and Regulation Z) are used to create the Mortgage Rules Set. Similar Rule Sets have been created for the Debt Settlement, Debt Collection, Credit Card and Insurance industries.

New rules are also looming that affect the way marketers can interact with consumers via phones. The FCC through the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) has adopted more stringent rules and beginning on October 16, 2013 companies must have an increased level of prior “express written consent” from the consumer before any autodialed and/or pre-recorded marketing calls or texts can be made to the consumer’s cell phone or residential land lines.
PerformLine is addressing the TCPA’s “express written consent” requirement through a new application in the PerformMatch SaaS compliance platform. The PerformMatch TCPA Toolkit identifies every “Request for Information” webpage to detect that the mobile/telephone number field has the proper approved consent language and associated checkbox.
PerformLine clients are able to leverage the proprietary tools of the PerformMatch SaaS platform to ensure that any direct advertising, affiliate advertising and call center activity done on their behalf is compliant.
