We have already seen building owners in Seattle realize the time and cost-saving benefits of the Switch platform, designed to monitor building portfolios.
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) August 13, 2013
Switch Automation’s CEO Deb Noller announced today the opening of the company’s second West Coast office, in Seattle, to serve clients in the Pacific Northwest. The office will be headed up by Peter Rake, Chief Operations Officer.
Noller said, “We have seen building owners in Seattle realize the time and cost-saving benefits of the Switch platform, designed to monitor building portfolios. Our engaging and interactive user interface, scalability of solutions, tools for importing real-time operations data, ease of data handling for multiple formats from dozens of sources, and the robustness of working with the Microsoft Azure cloud platform have really struck a chord with company executives who are currently struggling with large amounts of building data kept in multiple systems or even in spreadsheets.”
She continued: “For this reason we have placed our most senior operations person, Peter Rake, into Seattle, to work with more than 1.5 million square feet of buildings that have already signed up to utilize data from the Switch Smart Hub and to meet the needs of new customers. Peter will lead our effort in the Northwest to deliver the power of Cloud Computing to monitor, analyze and control buildings, along with facilitate energy efficiency improvements for building owners, managers and tenants, based on improved real-time data analytics and control of building operations.”
Charlie Cunniff, Green Business Manager at the Seattle Office of Economic Development, said, “We’ve been meeting with Switch Automation for the past several months and are pleased that such an innovative technology company has chosen Seattle for its first permanent U.S. office. We look forward to working closely with Deb Noller and Peter Rake to provide the company with the support it needs to grow its presence here.”
Peter Rake has been a key player with Switch Automation for the past three years, heading up operations and implementation of major building portfolios and high-rise residential installations in Australia. Peter has been in the building automation industry for more than 10 years, with experience before that in electrical and controls manufacturing. He has trained electrical contractors, electrical wholesalers and end users on the products offered by large manufacturers and the applications available to them and helped deliver several large projects to end users.
