A recent Auspoll has found that housing is the number one issue among voters. Lobby group, Australians for Affordable Housing, says high rents and the inability to break into the real estate market due to unaffordable prices have created a housing crisis in the country.
Mr Otton said while he applauded the efforts of housing advocacy groups to highlight the problem of affordability in Australia, there were alternative long-term solutions.
He said the Brighton Le Sands property event was one of a series of seminars he was holding across Australia to support his mission to show as many investors as possible “*how to buy a house for a dollar* and generate positive cash flow from day one, even without a deposit, bank loan or real estate experience”.
“The current debate around housing affordability is creating a false assumption that property can only be bought in a traditional way, and that long term wealth through investing can only be achieved in a certain way,” Mr Otton said.
