XOS Digital Equips Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with Complete Hockey Operations Solution
Orlando/Boucherville (PRWEB) August 21, 2013 -- XOS Digital Inc., the leading provider of content management solutions and digital coaching technology for sports organizations, announced today XOS Digital will provide the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with a comprehensive technology platform for officiating, game preparation and video exchange. The announcement was made today by Matt Bairos, CEO, XOS Digital.
XOS Digital will provide the QMJHL with the XOS Thunder Hockey HD video editing platform, XOS HD Replay for hockey officials and XOS ThunderCloud Exchange for trading video across the league.
“This powerful combination of hockey technology will streamline the QMJHL’s coaching and officiating workflow making it more efficient and effective,” Bairos said. “These comprehensive solutions were designed specifically for the needs of the hockey market to maximize game preparation, enhance the proficiency and training of officials and facilitate video transfer between teams and to the league office.”
XOS Thunder Hockey HD enables the coaching staff to quickly edit video, filter statistics and assemble content into game analyses, reports and presentations. XOS will provide the league office and all 18 teams with a Thunder Hockey HD package.
XOS Digital will also provide HD Replay systems to each of the 18 game facilities in the league. Every system includes two high-definition IP-based cameras located directly above each goal. A third camera captures the shot clock and feeds directly into the camera streams to synchronize the entire system and provide officials with the optimal angle to review the clock as a puck crosses the goal line.
Replay technicians also have the ability to mark critical plays and export video associated with these plays for immediate external review and post-production use.
XOS ThunderCloud Exchange provides a secure file exchange platform for sharing documents and video across the league. Exchange supports all video formats, and footage can be uploaded directly from the XOS Thunder coaching platform.
“We are excited to take advantage of the most progressive hockey technology in the market,” QMJHL commissioner Gilles Courteau said. “Not only will we create operational efficiencies, but we will also prepare our players that are recruited to other leagues by exposing them to the most widely used game preparation technology in the industry.”
