His experience in the courtroom has shown him the value of mediation.
Fox is a certified family and circuit civil mediator. He is a member of the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators. “So many times there are cases that could have been worked out before it went to a judge or jury if the parties would have just sat down and talked,” Fox said. “This is particularly true in cases involving family disputes such as divorce and custody issues. If we can work through the hurt feelings and bitterness, we often get a result that is best for everyone without going to court.”
“Times and fashions may have changed but in a lot of ways, people have not,” Fox said. “Many people would prefer to settle their case amicably and not go through a long and expensive battle in court. I have mediated difficult, multi-issue cases in many areas of the law and brought them to a resolution.”
