South Bend, Ind. Dentists Educate the Northern Indiana Community with a New Sleep Therapy and Craniofacial Pain Management Initiative
South Bend, IN (PRWEB) August 14, 2013 -- South Bend, Ind. dentists, Drs. Terrance P. Mahoney and Daniel G. Klauer have been providing family and cosmetic dentistry to Northern Indiana for three decades at Mahoney Family Dentistry. Throughout the years, they have stayed abreast on new, emerging fields of dentistry that can be used to help their patients. Years ago, they added dental implants to their list of cosmetic dentistry procedures in South Bend and have seen dental implants literally transform the lives of their patients with missing teeth. From giving denture wearers the ability to enjoy their favorite foods again, to restoring the confident smile of someone who has lost a tooth to trauma, Mahoney Family Dentistry enjoys using the latest treatment methods to restore the form and function of their patients’ smiles.
When Dr. Klauer became a member of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, it became clear that he could help a great number of patients in Northern Indiana suffering from sleep apnea and chronic head, neck, and shoulder pain. The diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnea and craniofacial pain has historically been a field that transcends several medical disciplines, but in recent years has expanded greatly for dentists as new non-invasive oral appliances are approved for treatment by the FDA.
“We decided to launch the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of Northern Indiana because it was quite clear that there are so many people in our community suffering from craniofacial pain and sleep disordered breathing. Our system is truly multi-disciplinary approach that is conservative and thoughtful,” Dr. Klauer said.
In addition to posting relevant information on their website about sleep therapy and craniofacial pain management, Mahoney Family Dentistry is offering free TMJ and sleep therapy information sessions at their practice. Their most recent session was July 10, 2013 and was open to the first 25 guests. Reservations could be made directly on the Mahoney Family Dentistry website, or by calling the practice.
“By attending these free information sessions, you can learn about our protocol and meet the members of our team and the physicians we work with in this area. You can also have a one on one conversation with the physicians, orthodontist, surgeons, and dentists present. This will be a great way for you to get a feel for the extensive knowledge and expertise our team has,” Dr. Mahoney said.
In addition to launching their sleep therapy and craniofacial pain management services, some of the services at Mahoney Family Dentistry include:
Dental Implants
Cosmetic Dentistry
Family Dentistry
