SEC Rules are presented in an easy-to-navigate format at no extra cost to clients.

Mihnea Galeteanu, Product Manager

By having this information in DisclosureNet™, we're aiming to exceed users’ expectations with powerful search and alert capabilities that will make it easier to pinpoint specific information.

Effective immediately, DisclosureNet™ will provide access to rules and regulations from the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC). The inclusion of the SEC Rules comes at no extra cost to clients, and will be available to search in a smooth, user-friendly experience. This upgrade adds more value to the existing DisclosureNet™ offerings of Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) content including U.S. GAAP and International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) rules such as IFRS. This is in addition to the database’s 20+ million corporate disclosure filings from the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom.

Below is a sample of the major SEC content categories that will be accessible to all DisclosureNet™ clients:

o    Proposed, interim and final rules
o    Policy statements
o    Staff bulletins and interpretations
o    Acts and laws
o    EDGAR filer manuals

In addition to the option of browsing this SEC content, users can also conduct proximity keyword searches within the rules’ specific categories. Like any other content in DisclosureNet™, users can set alerts to be notified via email when SEC rules are added or modified, simplifying the way finance and compliance professionals consume and understand regulatory updates.

“Our users told us that the ability to search regulatory content and set alerts is key,” begins DisclosureNet™ product manager Mihnea Galeteanu, “and by having this information in DisclosureNet™, we’re aiming to exceed users’ expectations with powerful search and alert capabilities that will make it easier to pinpoint specific information.”

DisclosureNet™ has also added Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) content to its database, and will continue to work throughout the year to include other major financial standards. Clients further benefit because they no longer have to subscribe to multiple databases to understand the continuously changing regulations that govern financial reporting processes; they can now come to DisclosureNet™ for these needs and more.

Other features included in the latest version of DisclosureNet™ include faster document load times and upgrades to the way documents are merged; now both ZIP and PDF formats are available for clients to choose from when merging documents.
