Bayer CropScience and Pest Management Professionals Partner to Launch Maxforce on a Mission
Research Triangle Park, N.C. (PRWEB) August 15, 2013 -- Environmental Science, a division of Bayer CropScience LP, today announced the launch of Maxforce® on a Mission, a giving back campaign in which Bayer and pest management professionals (PMPs) are teaming up to help rid underserved communities of allergen- and disease-carrying pests. The first community service project will kick off this week in Jacksonville, Fla., in collaboration with the Boselli Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on providing children in at-risk neighborhoods with a holistic and comprehensive after-school learning environment.
As a part of the Maxforce on a Mission campaign, PMPs will use their skills and expertise to provide complementary pest control services to nonprofit organizations that aim to improve the livelihoods of underserved populations. The Jacksonville PMPs donating their time and services to the Boselli Foundation include:
• Linda Prentice, Technical Director, Bug Out Service
• John Cooksey, Vice President, McCall Service
“Pest management professionals serve a critical – and often undervalued – role in preserving public health in their communities,” said Ray Daniels, Product Marketing Manager for Bayer’s Professional Pest Management Business. “Through Maxforce on a Mission, it is our goal to raise public awareness of the societal value of professional pest management and inspire other PMPs to reinforce this value through giving back where they can in their own communities.”
To assist these PMPs in their mission, Bayer will be donating various Maxforce products for the pest control services. Bayer revolutionized roach control 25 years ago with its Maxforce portfolio, which provides PMPs a variety of baiting options.
“The nonprofit organizations we’re working with are deeply invested in their local communities, and we want to assist them in providing the best possible circumstances for those individuals they serve,” Daniels said.
Additional events are scheduled to take place in Philadelphia and Phoenix in the coming weeks, where local PMPs will participate in similar community service projects. Updates from each community event will be shared online, where visitors are encouraged to learn more about Maxforce on a Mission and how to get involved. A larger, more comprehensive update will be shared with the industry at this year’s PestWorld in Phoenix.
