A Lake View Terrace resident, Myles Mellor, one of the most renowned and sought-after crossword writers in the world today, has just reached a major milestone, the publication of his 10,000th crossword puzzle. Myles Mellor is a full-time, professional crossword writer who specializes in custom and theme crossword puzzles.

Mellor originally got his start by writing crosswords for his ailing father, then at the encouragement of his father and friends, he decided to turn his unique knack for writing quality puzzles into a career. As part of a truly innovative campaign to increase traffic to their website, MasterCard decided they would run a series of full page crosswords and puzzles in major newspapers throughout Canada. Because of its success and innovation, the campaign itself was awarded Best of Show, Gold Award by the Canadian Newspaper Association and it was also awarded a Silver Midas award. As Mellor wrote and provided the puzzles, he was credited as the illustrator.
