MayView to Celebrate Opening of New Mountain View Clinic
Mountain View, CA (PRWEB) August 14, 2013 -- The Grand Opening will take place on Thursday, August 22, 2013, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. There will be a brief dedication ceremony at 4:30, and guests are invited to tour the clinic and enjoy refreshments.
MayView has provided high quality primary healthcare, regardless of ability to pay, to Mountain View residents for more than 40 years at its old location on Moffett Blvd. The new clinic, which is just off El Camino Real, has room to accommodate expanding programs, including immunization services and well child care for children, prenatal care, family planning services, and general medical care for adults and children of all ages. In addition, MayView’s new location offers integrated behavioral health services within a primary care setting.
The additional space supports MayView’s team-based approach, adopted to ensure patient-centered medical care. This approach is especially important to achieving health status improvements for patients with chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension and asthma, for helping smokers quit, and to ensure that patients receive age-appropriate preventive care services like immunizations and cancer screenings.
“The patients and their families are at the center of care and we want to make sure that our patients leave our clinics happy and with better health outcomes. For us at MayView it is going beyond primary care to encompass a whole health approach,” says Shamima Hasan, CEO of MayView Community Health Center.
The clinic is on the second floor, accessible by elevator and stairs. The closest bus stop is just beyond the clinic on El Camino, served by bus line 22. The 52 bus line goes from this stop to the train and light rail transportation center.
Please RSVP for the Grand Opening event by Monday, August 19 at 650-327-1223, extension 1020, or email admin(at)mayview(dot)org.
