Teens In Recovery Celebrated in Art of Discovery Gallery Event
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 13, 2013 -- The Art of Discovery Gallery Event, sponsored by Center for Discovery, a national leader in residential treatment, featured the artwork of individuals recovering from eating disorders, substance abuse and mental health issues. The creative talents of the individuals in recovery were on display at the Atticus Gallery in Los Angeles.
More than 300 people attended the event which included submissions of musical pieces, essays and dimensional artwork. A panel of celebrity judges including Russell Brand, Bob Thiele, Jr., William James Remar, Lisa Nemi Swayze, Lesley Ann Warren, Kay Lenz, Mindy Seeger, Paul Butler, Lauren Brock and Blake Kinsey, reviewed submissions and awarded the top prize for each category.

About Discovery in Recovery
Discovery in Recovery is a free community support program sponsored by Center for Discovery. Discovery in Recovery offers free meetings that are open to members of the community seeking support with recovery. The program provides separate meetings for teens and parents, at the same time, run by counselors. In addition to the free weeknight support groups, Discovery in Recovery also offers other free resources to schools, churches and the communities. These resources include crisis intervention referrals and phone assessments to provide resources appropriate to the needs of callers.
