The sport of dog agility brings dogs and families together. In “Four Dogs and Their Tales” by Marcella Bursey Brooks, canine companions and their loving owners train with the goal of representing Team USA at the International Dog Agility Championships.

Life rarely goes as expected, however: unplanned puppies, a wedding and more alter everyone’s plans.

“It’s a family-friendly, adventure-filled story,” said Brooks. “It’s informative, educational, and a fun read for the young and young at heart.”

The author hopes her book will not only delight readers, but also draw attention to air travel conditions for animals. Frequent travel and love for their dogs inspires the families in her story to try to institute worldwide pet-friendly air travel conditions.

“I’ve always shared my home with an assortment of cats and dogs,” said Brooks. “How we treat them and work together with them reflects back on us!”
