Cory Booker was the keynote speaker at Affiliate Summit East 2008, which took place in Boston on August 10-12, 2008.

Cory Booker, Mayor of Newark, NJ, won the Democratic primary yesterday in his effort to replace the late Frank Lautenberg as a U.S. Senator from New Jersey.

The special election to fill the remaining term of the late Senator Lautenberg will be held October 16, 2013, and Mayor Booker is considered a favorite for the seat.

Cory Booker was the keynote speaker at Affiliate Summit East 2008, which took place in Boston on August 10-12, 2008.

His keynote address is regarded as one of the best in the ten year history of the digital marketing conference, and is available to view on YouTube.

Mayor Booker literally left many of the folks in the crowd with tears in their eyes from his moving, inspirational talk.

The following spring after the conference, he took over control of his Twitter account from his staff, and has since become the standard of how a politician can connect with their constituents online.

The next Affiliate Summit is taking place August 18-20, 2013 in Philadelphia, PA, and it sold out nearly two weeks ago.

This three day conference will include an exhibit hall with affiliates, merchants, vendors, and networks, as well as multiple tracks of educational sessions covering the latest trends and information from affiliate marketing experts.
