Asons Solicitors Comment on SMART Grant That Provides Aid in The War Against Industrial Hearing Loss
Bolton, United Kingdom (PRWEB UK) 19 August 2013 -- The North Yorkshire based company specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of noise measurement equipment, mainly to the health and safety industry. It has been awarded a grant from the Government-backed Technology Strategy Board. (1)
The award, made as part of the Technology Strategy Board’s Smart scheme, aims to accelerate the development of “highly innovative hybrid devices to measure noise levels in the workplace together with supporting software”, said Pulsar Instruments. The project will focus on creating “simple to use” wireless noise measuring devices, compliant with requirements for noise exposure around the world. (1)
The Smart scheme (previously known as Grant for Research and Development) is specifically designed to support new innovations, and to stimulate the British economy. The scheme offers funding to small to medium enterprises, encouraging them to engage in science, engineering and technology research and development projects, helping to fund successful new designs, processes and services. Sarah Brack, managing director of Pulsar Instruments, said:
“We are thrilled that the Technology Strategy Board is funding this important project. The impact on the company will be significant in many ways. It will strengthen Pulsar’s competitive position in the UK and across the globe and will secure the future of its employees.” (1)
She said also added that the grant was “massively significant” for the business, aiding them in the acquisition of new distributors, in new foreign markets. “We already had a very rapid growth strategy in place. This will help propel us even further.” (1)
This funding will energise the existing range of products, and by applying research and development, will significantly improve the Pulsar Instruments’ market position in both the UK and overseas. (1)
Asons Executive, Thomas Fairclough made the following statement:
“This grant is fantastic news for Pulsar Instruments, and the health and safety industry. These products will represent a leap in innovation, helping to aid the prevention of industrial hearing loss in numerous occupations."
