CME Outfitters welcoming all physicians and clinicians to participate in an online 2-part module webcast about strategies to improve medication adherence in transplant patients.

CME Outfitters (CMEO), a leading accredited provider in continuing medical education, is calling all physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists who are interested in or care for liver and kidney transplant patients to participate in the CMEO 2-Part Webcast Improving Medication Adherence and Outcomes in Transplant Recipients. CMEO’s live webcasts feature an interactive discussion between faculty members Flavio Vincenti, MD and Ron Shapiro, MD that will elucidate the barriers and causes of non-adherence to immunosuppressive medication and will offer clinicians timely and appropriate interventions. The educational content will focus on the following learning objectives:

  •     Module 1: Describe the factors that impact medication adherence and the consequences from medication non-adherence in patients who have undergone kidney and/or liver transplantation.
  •     Module 2: Implement strategies to improve medication adherence in patients who have undergone kidney and/or liver transplantation.

Adherence to immunosuppressive medication after transplantation is important to maximize good clinical benefits and outcomes. However, adherence remains suboptimal and not well understood. Clinicians who are interested in proactively partnering with patients to educate and work together toward patient health and the success of a transplant may click on the webcast module links below:
