Katy Larsen is the owner of Somewhere Over the Rainbow LLC and she has some questions for every parent out there.

"How fast do children grow? How will you hold onto that moment? Was that picture from first grade or second? How pregnant was I in that picture? How important is it to capture each moment, each milestone in the life of your child? Why not start back to school with a set of Baby Age Blocks?"

There seems to be a trend of emerging photographers using unconventional methods when attempting to create that perfect picture. Professional photographers and amateurs alike have found the innovative product of Baby Age Blocks and their ability to record time or to freeze it for just one moment. Why not at that first trip to the bus stop?

Somewhere Over the Rainbow LLC is amongst the leaders in the creation and sales of such blocks, yet they are different in so many aspects. While the competition offers a range of number combinations from 1-29, Somewhere Over the Rainbow's blocks can get the consumer from 1 to 95. In order to reach higher numbers from the competition, an expansion set would need to be purchased. Now imagine a woman at 37 weeks pregnant.....Somewhere Over the Rainbow can take that picture. Somewhere Over the Rainbow Baby Age Blocks can capture that moment the others can't.

Owner Katy Larsen states, "I feel my blocks are unique in several ways. Each consumer has the ability to choose two custom graphics to be added to their set, choose a color scheme, match a nursery, choose a finish from antiqued to distressed to untouched, and the ability to select whether they would prefer days or grade on the larger block. With the option of grade on the larger block that the competition does not offer, our blocks are perfect for that first day back to school."

Each set includes four blocks, as opposed to the competitors three. The consumer gets two blocks 0-5, one 6-9 plus 2 custom graphics and a large block with weeks, months, years, and the option of days or grade. Each set is handcrafted and handmade and fully customizable. They are not a product off of a production line. They come from a charitable business that loves and gives back. But let's take this a little further.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow also has a line of Name Blocks and Birth Blocks, both great for photos and with the option of including the birth statistics of the child on each. All of these items make for great, personal baby shower gifts and so much more. They make for timeless photos that capture the most important moments in life.

"Though our shop was born from grief, life itself is celebrated within it. I love receiving emails with the baby blocks being used and the adorable children smiling beside them. I love seeing those sweet faces posted on our Facebook page. It all is invaluable."

With back to school swiftly approaching, don't forget to add a set of blocks to the list. Next time when looking for a great photography prop, the perfect baby shower gift, or a way of tracking a child's progression, remember Somewhere Over the Rainbow LLC. They are as custom and as exceptional as each child, on Etsy and on their website. Remember, each and every moment only lasts for that. A moment.
