“2012 and 2013 have been full of new, innovative solutions and we are very excited to explore more of these leading-edge opportunities within the industry," said Maria Goyer, VP of Business Solutions at Populus Group.
Troy, Michigan (PRWEB) August 14, 2013
Populus Group, a talent management solutions provider, will be attending and sponsoring the 2013 Staffing Industry Analysts Contingent Workforce Strategies (CWS) Summit on September 11-12 at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park in Chicago, IL.
Maria Goyer, VP of Business Solutions at Populus Group, will be speaking at a roundtable session on ensuring proper classification of Independent Contractors (ICs). She will be discussing the top 10 best practices to mitigate the risks and financial implications of IC misclassification.
The use of Independent Contractors to provide various types of services continues to grow in most industries and as a result, the number of IC misclassifications has increased. Currently, Federal and State agencies, such as the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor are actively auditing industries to ensure they properly classify and engage with their ICs.
Populus Group will be hosting an exhibit booth (#221), where attendees can learn about its innovative solutions for candidate redeployment, intern management and foreign national immigration. These solutions compliment other services offered through their Integrated Workforce Management (IWMF) solution, such as Professional Payroll Services, Independent Contractor Engagement Services, and Staffing and Recruiting Services. Populus Group works closely with each of its clients to develop a program that addresses their specific contingent workforce needs.
“2012 and 2013 have been full of new, innovative solutions and we are very excited to explore more of these leading-edge opportunities within the industry,” said Maria Goyer, VP of Business Solutions at Populus Group. “We look forward to sharing our innovative strategies with attendees at the CWS Summit as well.”
