Reston, Virginia (PRWEB) August 15, 2013 -- Qbase, LLC today announced that its complex architecture software research and development organization has been appraised at maturity Level 2 of the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). The appraisal was performed by Entinex, Inc. of Baltimore, Md., a licensed partner of the CMMI Institute.
CMMI is a process improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. An appraisal at maturity level 2 indicates the organization is performing at a “managed” level. At this level, projects have ensured that processes are planned and executed in accordance with policy; the projects employ skilled people who have adequate resources to produce controlled outputs; involve relevant stakeholders; are monitored, controlled, and reviewed; and are evaluated for adherence to their process descriptions.
Qbase, a leading provider of information technology services, business intelligence products and solutions, and geographic search technologies, incorporates CMMI best practices into the development processes for products and services in the Qbase portfolio.
“Qbase has always been committed to delivering quality products, services, and solutions to our customers,” said Paul Pressel, Senior Vice President, and sponsor of the CMMI appraisal effort at Qbase. “Successfully completing the rigorous CMMI evaluation and rating process now formalizes this commitment, and provides our government clients with an extra level of assurance that they will receive top-quality solutions from Qbase now, and as we strive to achieve additional, more rigorous CMMI maturity levels.”
