Development Studio Apptitude Announces the Launch of Education Everytime Music Streaming Platform for the Classroom
New Orleans, Louisiana (PRWEB) August 14, 2013 -- Apptitude, a smartphone app development studio, announced today the launch of music streaming platform Education Everytime for K-12 teachers just in time for the 2013-14 school year. Education Everytime is available to everyone as a free trial for 30 days. Sign up at http://www.esquaredmusic.com to browse the library of custom songs and build a playlist that will motivate students and liven up the daily routine in any classroom scenario.
The concept of Education Everytime was presented by Lorenzo Castillo, KIPP teacher-turned-entrepreneur, during the Idea Village’s 2013 New Orleans Entrepreneur Week ‘Big Idea’ contest. Castillo won $50,000 in prize money to develop the project and quickly contacted Apptitude founder, Chris Boyd, to spearhead the technical development of the project. From May to August, Castillo and Boyd have worked closely together to launch Education Everytime. Castillo produced and composed custom hip hop tracks, while Boyd developed the web application, which is now available to teachers and schools nationwide for the 2013-14 school year.
“We were thrilled to work with Education Everytime to develop their web app, because it’s a platform that unites the two areas in which New Orleans is leading the nation: technology and education,” said Chris Boyd. “We’re pleased with the outcome, and are very happy to have helped Lorenzo and his team take their Big Idea from concept to reality.”
Other figures in the New Orleans tech scene agree that the partnership between those with brilliant ideas like Education Everytime and those with the talent to forge them into a reality like Apptitude are part of the energy that's behind New Orleans' incredible momentum, even as other cities struggle just to maintain status quo in a difficult economy.
"The key to sustaining the entrepreneurial movement in New Orleans is to engage and leverage the talent of the ecosystem," said Tim Williamson, Co-founder and CEO of The Idea Village. "This partnership between Education Everytime and local developer Apptitude illustrates the growing connectivity of the entrepreneurial community in New Orleans."
Education Everytime will be implemented at schools nationwide, reaching thousands of students. Teachers can subscribe for a low monthly fee with unlimited access to the entire catalog of music and accompanying materials. Learn more about Education Everytime here.
