Sentilla Releases New IT Infrastructure Intelligence Solution
Redwood City, California (PRWEB) August 15, 2013 -- Sentilla Corporation (http://www.sentilla.com), the IT Infrastructure Intelligence company, announced today the availability of Sentilla 5.5, a major release of its IT Infrastructure Intelligence solution.
“Managing IT like a business has always been a goal, but it's even more so now,” according to Garner, Inc. “IT operations departments are under pressure from the consumerization of IT to simplify their IT environments and the consumption of the services they provide. Furthermore, as enterprises increase their adoption of dynamic technologies […] that enable flexible styles of computing, IT operations must become more proactive to deliver on the promises and opportunities that these technologies and processes are creating.”*
Responding to this demand for increased flexibility, agility, and proactivity, Sentilla 5.5 provides deeper IT Infrastructure analytics with new metrics and resources for Storage and Network like capacity, IOPs and network bandwidth. It is now easier to deploy with a number of new plug-and-play connectors for virtual and cloud infrastructure including OpenStack, CloudStack and XenServer. Finally, it is now faster than ever to take advantage of Sentilla via the new Sentilla Infrastructure Profiler.
“Sentilla 5.5 takes our vision of IT Infrastructure Intelligence to the next level. As IT organizations around the globe are becoming more agile and taking advantage of hybrid IT infrastructures that embrace physical, virtual and cloud deployments, they need unified visibility into their IT resources including Compute, Storage, Network, Power and Location. More importantly they need to map these resources across business context in order to optimize workload deployment decisions, plan and tune capacity, and make the best transformation decisions,” said Mike Kaul, President and CEO of Sentilla Corporation. “The need for plug-and-play analytics for agile IT Infrastructure has never been greater and we are excited to expand our platform with richer, deeper analytics and to make it easier than ever to deploy.”
New features of Sentilla IT Infrastructure Intelligence introduced with version 5.5 include:
• Storage and Network analytics for usage and capacity analysis and forecasting: Sentilla now supports Storage Capacity and IOPs metering, as well as Network bandwidth metering to broaden the scope of resources and metrics used by Sentilla in hybrid IT infrastructure intelligence.
• New Plug-and-Play Connectors expand the array of over a thousand physical and software sources that Sentilla can connect to: Sentilla now supports OpenStack and CloudStack technology for Cloud Analytics, Cinder API for Storage, Quantum API for Networking, and XenServer for virtualization.
• Infrastructure Profiler for rapid deployment: Sentilla’s profiler can easily import historical data into Sentilla before IT Infrastructure connectors are setup to quickly analyze infrastructure resources and metrics and get instant visibility, trending and forecasting within Sentilla.
• Enhanced Visualization: Sentilla’s easy-to-use visualization user interface now provides complete cloud visualization with key metrics such as Compute, Storage and Network data across physical and virtual layers, providing unified view of CPU, Memory, VM Density, Storage Size and IOPs and Network Bandwidth. Other enhancements in version 5.5 include Asset Topology graphing and an improved Location Dashboard.
