Livermore, CA (PRWEB) August 14, 2013 -- All Systems Broadband has once again signed on as a major sponsor of the “Summer Classic” to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). The Friday event includes a day of golf on the Greg Norman-designed golf course at Wente Vineyards, followed by an open-air evening of cocktails, auctions, dinner and dancing.
Active Charity, founded by All Systems Broadband CEO Jason Skeoch and several college buddies, provided the original stimulus for the Summer Classic, and it has been their continued focus that has raised over $2.3 million since the event premiered in 2005.
“The generosity of the many sponsors and participants never ceases to amaze me,” Jason commented, “every year we have more people truly enjoying themselves while doing something that benefits so many.”
It is estimated that a new case of diabetes is diagnosed every 30 seconds, with almost 2 million people newly diagnosed with the disease each year. Diabetes is one of the most costly in the U.S. accounting for more than $174 billion in health care costs. Further, diabetes accounts for roughly 1/3 of all Medicare expenditures.
The annual event has become a regular part of the operations at All Systems Broadband and the company regularly invites the involvement of its business partners, customers and others in the local and national business community to also participate in Summer Classic.
